email black list

Black Lists were created to help businesses and people deal with unwanted messages, also known as junk or spam. Black lists group emails, IP addresses or domains that were previously reported as messages disseminators and considered spam (unwanted advertisement). Usually the complaint is made by recipients of these messages after receiving these emails.

Email Black Lists are generally used by email providers as a sort of research tool that helps in the process of preventing unwanted emails from being delivered to the email boxes. When a domain, IP address or email is on one of these lists, the provider may refuse to receive messages from this address, because it is not a reliable address.

Cases where your email may be added to the Black List

  • When sending emails in large quantities to recipients who have not opted to receive your emails. Consequently the receivers of these messages may report your campaigns as Spam.
  • When sending emails with pornographic or prejudiced content (for example).
  • When sending emails containing viruses or malicious software.

You can never prevent your contact from being inserted on the Black List for 100% unless every time you send an email you comply with the correct practices in this area.

Be aware: Avoid wrong online practices, keep your contact list updated and send only adequate and value messages to your customers. It will certainly improve the quality of your email marketing campaign!
